グローバルviewの必要性とその教育はこれからの健全な地球文明にかかせないのでは？異文化を通して色々な見方や価値観を認識していくと、全体的視野の必要性を感じてくると同時に、全体が少しずつ見えてくる。それを見ようとしなければ、またはそれぞれの見方のみに、もしくはそれぞれの価値観のみに固守していたのでは、全体像は見えなくなる。近年、ボーダレス時代、グローバル社会と言われているが、それはある特定のまたは優勢な特徴が他のものを呑み込んでしまったり、マイナーな存在を取り除いて、同じ色で統一してしまう事をさすのではない。色々な文化の個々の特徴をよく把握しながら、より豊かなものを生み出していくと同時に、全体像をも認識していかなければならないのである。

『群盲象を撫でる』ということが、よく国際理解の比喩として使われるが､　同じことが、最近では専門分野を越えた見方を認識する時にも使われ始めている。　

グローバル教育とは異文化を通して『素晴らしいもの』を作成していこうとする可能性を見出していく事であり、異文化の情報や異文化の人々とのコミュニケーションを通して、自己中心的視野からの脱却、ethnocentrism自民族中心主義からの脱却、そして自文明中心主義の視野からの脱却に挑戦してみることに意味がある。よりグローバルな視野を抱きながら(相互理解、多角間理解、そして総合理解を経て)、より全体を把握しようとすることが異文化間コミュニケーションの目標であり、真のグローバル教育につながるのである。

この著書ではグローバル教育の定義とglobal viewとはどういうことかを述べ、 真の豊かさの探求を促している。例えば、一方的な見方しかできなかったら、そこに真の豊かさはなくなることや、ある文化の中で生活しているとその中での価値観については他の文化の人とコミュニケーションを取らない限りその価値観を客観視できないこと、また多文化の特徴を尊重してこそより豊かなものが生まれてくること等である。またグローバルな視野で見ようしていくと、色々な文化を通しての価値観や自分が本当に求めている物とは何か探求するようになる。そしてそこから当然として生まれる探求型の『グローバル教育論を通しての一例の授業』を紹介し、英語での情報収集力、様々な角度からの見解及び分析力、そして自己発信力を育成する。

Therefore, along with holistic science, though started from a material domain, as it is holism, one has to have a holistic or global view to ponder one’s choice, and that choice must hopefully be the sign of one’s enjoying his or her life or at least appreciating it since (or if) it is based on one’s genuine free will.

　Since their unilateral point of views alone will not produce fruitful situations among people, especially between different genders, cultures, or any social groups or even individuals, it is important for the students to be able to communicate well not only to understand their different points of views but also to have the senses and feelings or even empathy towards other people. Learning different languages and the cultures is extremely important to acquire the way to widen their scope of views, values, and decision-making process that includes their logic, values, life-styles, senses, feelings, etc.

The problem of not feeling comfortable being yourself under monolithic system because of unilateral view and its pressure and peoples not with one sided point of view or unilaterally is not just among returnees or halves but leads to “identity crisis” that does produce depression and high suicide rates, and unfortunately that is the case among the Japanese as a whole. Definitely fascism-like moods do not encourage you to “be yourself”, neither to be comfortable, happy, nor creative, but put you into a frame that leads your mind to shape in a certain cage.

Neither must we have foreign language education without respecting various cultural and individual values, likewise, holistic science with various new approaches must be respected as well as modern science, reductionism approach of which has developed through colonialism and eugenics mainly in the western countries that demand power and control.
